Upload files safely

Feature-specific ServiceTooly wireframe for Upload files safely
This wireframe is generated from the feature names and steps in this guide, so it stays aligned with the instructions even when labels vary by role or plan.

What this section includes

  • Pre-processing malware scan
  • Existing file-size limits
  • Existing MIME and extension checks
  • Private quarantine for suspicious files

Start-to-finish instructions

  1. Choose the allowed file

Use the file types and size limits shown on the form.

  2. Submit once

ServiceTooly scans the temporary upload before parsing, storing, or publishing it.

  3. If a file is rejected

Do not resend the same suspicious file or share it by email. Contact support with the time and page, not the private file.

  4. If scanning is unavailable

No file is saved or published. Retry after service is restored.

What success looks like

  • A clean file continues through the form's normal validation and permission checks.
  • A rejected file creates no customer-facing attachment or published asset.

Common problems

  • A clean malware scan does not override size, MIME, extension, authorization, or private-storage rules.
  • Security scanning cannot guarantee detection of every threat; do not upload unsafe content.
